Davao City, Philippines – Teleperformance (TP) Philippines wowed the crowd at the Pamulak sa Kadayawan 2024 Float Parade Competition.
TP’s float, decked in local flora featuring the organization’s colors, commanded attention as it made its way through the streets of Davao City. TP participated in the Small (Gamay) Float Category and was among the standout participants in this year’s event.
“Teleperformance Philippines’ annual participation in Davao’s Kadayawan Festival is one of our team’s commitments to celebrating Filipino culture. The energy, creativity, and dedication our team put into this is about honoring the rich heritage of Davao,” said Chief Executive Officer Rahul Jolly.
The float, creatively designed by Francis Orazles, a TP intern from the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies (SDEAS) embodied the spirit of Kadayawan and the values of Teleperformance. This year’s float featured Kadayawan Royalties—John Michael Manzo, Aravela Batitin, and Wendell Leones—representing the organization as the TP King, TP Queen, and TP Pride.
These finer details in the overall preparation and participation in the annual festival underscores TP’s continued advocacy for diversity, equity and inclusion. “It creates a heightened sense of pride to know that we have given our interns the opportunity to be part of something big. It is our way of keeping them involved, and ensuring they are included in things that matter greatly to us even as they start their career journey with TP,” Jolly shared.
In addition to the float parade, the event also featured the Indak Indak sa Kadayawan, a street dance competition that saw spirited performances from school and government-based groups. The entire Pamulak sa Kadayawan parade was a vibrant celebration of the unity and diversity of the Davaoeño people, with floats and performances that reflected the rich cultural heritage of the region.
Chief People Officer Jeffrey Johnson also expressed his support for the Davaoeño festival, stating, “Our involvement in the Kadayawan Festival underscores our dedication to community engagement and cultural inclusivity. We’re incredibly proud of our team for their exceptional work, and we’re honored to be a part of this cherished tradition in Davao City.”
In 2022, Teleperformance in Davao was also named “Best Place to Work For” in the city’s inaugural IT-BPM awards. Through its award-winning TP Cloud Campus solution, TP continues to expand its remote work capabilities and bring rewarding career opportunities beyond Metro Manila.
Notably, the organization has launched TP Cloud Campus to expand its remote work capabilities and extend opportunities to potential candidates beyond Metro Manila. The award-winning remote work solution has made it possible for employees—especially individuals belonging under impact groups—to work with their respective teams whenever they may be.
