With more than 900 nominations from organizations across the Asia-Pacific region, Eastern Communications’ Link VIP Club Program bagged the Gold Stevie® Award for Award for Innovation in Customer Service Management, Planning & Practice (Telecommunications Industries) category. Meanwhile, Eastern Communications’ ‘Our Strong Connection’ Rebranding Campaign got the Bronze Stevie® Award for Brand Renovation/Re-branding category.

The Eastern Link VIP Club was created to further differentiate Eastern’s “High Touch” service and to strengthen relationships with their customers. Members enjoy service perks and privileges such as a dedicated senior staff to handle their billing, credit and collection concerns.  The Link VIP Club was launched at a gala dinner and members were also invited to a performance of Lion King the Musical and a series of blockbuster movie screenings like Avengers: Infinity War, Ant Man & the Wasp, Deadpool 2 and Solo: A Star Wars Story.

The year-long program also included access to educational expos and workshops namely Exceed Business Solutions Expo and Link 101 Workshop to equip companies in the digital age.

Meanwhile, the Our Strong Connection campaign was focused on relaunching the Eastern Communications brand. The campaign’s clarion call is to bring back the human connection in the business of communications technology. This internal communications initiative was aimed at defining the company’s unique brand as being “high tech”, as they provide innovative services that are at par with other telecommunication companies and “high touch” with their personalized customer service.

The rebranding campaign also included a new mission, vision and values, a redesign of the company logo and employee activities that further promoted a culture of connectedness in the company.

“Eastern Communications continues to bring its new brand to life through these two campaigns. Launched during our 140th anniversary, the Link VIP Club Program was created to thank our customers for their continued loyalty and is one example of our commitment to “High Touch” service,” shared Eastern Communications Co-Coordinator Ramon Aesquivel.

“Our Rebranding Campaign, meanwhile, was an opportunity for us to not only strengthen our connection with each other but for us to also embody the idea of connectedness to our customers, enabling companies to experience our strong connection through our products and solutions and our highly personalized service. We’re proud that our efforts in these programs have been recognized by the prestigious Asia-Pacific Stevie Award,” said Eastern Communications Co-Coordinator Atty. Aileen Regio.

The Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards are the only business awards program to recognize innovation in the workplace in all 29 nations of the Asia-Pacific region.  The Stevie Awards are widely considered to be the world’s premier business awards, conferring recognition for achievement in programs such as The International Business Awards® for 17 years.

Nicknamed the Steviesfor the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala banquet at the InterContinental Hotel in Singapore on Friday, 31 May.

Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 100 executives around the world acting as judges in March and April.

“We are very pleased that entries to this program grew again this year,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.  “We added seven nations to those eligible to participate in the program for 2019, and we saw strong participation from several of them, especially India.  We extend our warmest congratulations to all of this year’s Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award winners.”
