COMCO Southeast Asia held its third virtual edition of House Wars, the culminating activity of the Camp COMCO Mentorship Program, for the eight (8) apprentices of Cycle 15.
In three months, the latest virtual run of the Camp COMCO Mentorship Program was able to conduct rigid trainings and workshops about New PR and Smart Social, PR Writing and Content Creation, Media Engagement, Content Planning, Strategic Communications, Brand Marketing and Presenting Techniques, as well as Insights Mapping and Ideation Process.
The apprentices were also immersed in the actual communications practice by working alongside their house stewards / co-mentors in the day-to-day operations of the Agency, including the mounting of its key Blazing Sapphire initiatives such as Write to Ignite Blogging Project and Cause Marketing for Good webinar.
In preparation for the House Wars competition, Cycle 15 were graced by Philo Chua of social enterprise and FMCG brand Theo & Philo Artisan Chocolates who briefed the apprentices of their assignment: a full communications plan for the Philippine chocolate brand.
In the recently concluded event, House Whaleshark ranked as 3rd Runner-up, followed by House Flying Fox as 2nd Runner-up, while House Hawksbill ranked as 1st Runner-Up and finally, House Bearcat was declared as the Grand Champion.
All houses have shown their unique strong advantages during the House Wars. House Whaleshark was recognized as Best in Research and Insights Mapping and Best in Use of Multimedia; House Flying Fox was also cited for Best Use of Multimedia; while House Hawksbill was commended for Best in Presentation and Strategy and Ideation. House Bearcat on the other hand was also hailed as Best in Strategy and Ideation.
Shortly after Cycle 15’s House Wars, Theo & Philo has also revealed that they are implementing House Bearcat’s winning communications plan, together with COMCO Southeast Asia, in time for their upcoming launch of new chocolate flavors during the holiday season.
“It’s exciting to see the culture of learning and growth still thriving for our Camp COMCO Mentorship Program despite its virtual setting. I’m genuinely proud to see how the apprentices of Cycle 15 have shined throughout the program, and especially during our House Wars activity. Congratulations to everyone! Coach is more than thrilled to see you make wonders in the professional field soon,” said Mr. Ferdinand L. Bondoy, COMCO Southeast Asia’s Regional Integration and Chief Executive Director and creator of Camp COMCO Mentorship Program.
